Friday Question :: Not all parts are created equal
Listening to the radio (yes, again!) this morning and caught a song by The Beatles. You can’t help but admit that they were revolutionary and created a passion and fever that never existed before and never really existed since the end of that era.
Today there are too many genres, too many artists, too many everything to have the same single focused hysteria that they created.
And yet, while the Fab Four were made of up four guys from England; Paul, John, George and Ringo — they don’t seem to get the equal fair shake in history.
Why not? Doesn’t make any sense. These four chaps put in the 10,000 hours together as Gladwell described as key to anyone really capitalizing on their talents, made the magic, took us on a musical journey that could not have been predicted and yet in the end, they didn’t all get equal treatment.
Did Ringo do something that really ticked everyone else off? I’m sure they all had their own Yoko Ono’s but the other three seemed to endure much better.
Why does Ringo get the shaft?
In this case, I’m just not sure — I’m only left to ponder.
